- All pictures, pins and nails must be removed from the walls.
- Tenants must also make sure to dust the windows, ceilings, wall moldings etc.
- The window blinds must be clean and free of dust.
- Bathroom and kitchen tiles must be free of mold and soap scum.
- All sinks and toilets in bathrooms and kitchens etc must be free of soap scum.
- All the cabinets must be emptied off their contents.
- There should be no trash left behind. It is the tenant’s responsibility to get rid of appliances which belong to him that he does not intend to take with him. These must be disposed at the tenant’s expense.
- Carpets must be vacuumed and shampooed. All non-carpeted areas must be free of stains etc.
- Tenants must replace non-working light bulbs.
- Tenants with pets must make sure there are no signs of soil on the carpet. Pet odor neutralizing products may be required to clean certain areas. Pet feces must be removed from yards or patios.
Tenants need to keep a copy of the move-in report. They must also give their new address to the management company in order to get their security deposit check.
